Firstly, as you may of guessed I’m a Mum!
I would love to give you the whole nine yards about how I’m a high powered Marketing Executive, enjoy Yoga in my spare time and a whizz at sewing. I’m not. I simply don’t have the time, nor the energy. Actually, I don’t even have the inclination right now. I’d rather watch episodes of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills with a pipe of Pringles. Because quite frankly, I’m exhausted!
I used to have a career before I has children, of which I have 2 boys. Both boys happen to have Autism, the youngest was diagnosed December 2017. Life is hectic and challenging and parenting is certainly not what I envisaged!
However, my boys are the light of my life and have learnt patience that I never knew existed, even though they do drive me to thoughts about ‘Gin in a Tin’ before midday………
The aim of this blog is simple. To reach out to parents who are having a rough time, whether you have a child with additional needs or not, this parenting lark is hard. We all have our daily battles, and I’m passionate about parents supporting other parents, being honest with struggles and most importantly, be non-judgmental in the process. But it’s not all doom and gloom, I hope to cause a few titters along the way and celebrate those all important parenting ‘wins’!
This blog also gives me a chance to explore my interests, or indeed find new ones! I love fashion and beauty and adore poking around a make up counter when I’m having a glum day! Cooking is also a firm favourite of mine when I have the time to veer away from the family favourites like Spag Bol (or red spaghetti as my son calls it..) so there maybe a few recipes thrown in for good measure!
